Legal Counsel – Commercial Documentation & Litigation

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide high‑quality, timely legal support to the business, focusing on commercial documentation, dispute management, and regulatory compliance. The role requires drafting and negotiating contracts, handling litigation and arbitration, and advising on statutory requirements in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and standardize a wide range of agreements to minimise legal risk and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
• Participate in contract negotiations with internal stakeholders and external counterparts, delivering quick turnaround on documents.
• Manage litigation and arbitration matters, including case monitoring, cost‑reduction initiatives, briefing external counsel, and preparing court filings.
• Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and periodic reviews of compliance tools, producing audit reports for senior management.
• Provide proactive legal advice to mitigate emerging regulatory risks and support business continuity.

Required profile

• Law degree with solid experience in commercial law, contract drafting, and dispute resolution.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret statutes, regulations, and judicial developments.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business units and external counsel.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic regulatory environment.
