Legal Claim Specialist – Copyright & DMCA Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Claims Specialist to manage the intake, qualification, investigation, and processing of legal claims and DMCA/DSA notices. The role ensures claims meet evidentiary standards, are correctly classified, and are processed accurately within defined service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming legal claims and DMCA/DSA notices to verify completeness and evidentiary requirements.
• Reject or request clarification for incomplete or unsupported claims.
• Classify and tag claims by IP type (e.g., sound recording, publishing, trademark).
• Assess legal qualification of claims against platform and statutory requirements.
• Analyze claim details and evidence to provide clear context for internal rights verification.
• Manage valid claims through the full operational workflow within SLAs.
• Coordinate with claimants, clients, and internal teams to resolve information gaps and support timely resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in legal claims, copyright operations, legal compliance, or rights management, preferably in music or digital media.
• Working knowledge of DMCA, DSA, copyright principles, and IP rights.
• Strong analytical attention to detail for assessing claims and evidence.
• Excellent written and spoken English for professional correspondence.
• Critical‑thinking and proactive problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple claims efficiently while meeting SLAs and quality standards.
