Lean Engineer – Continuous Improvement Leader

About the role

SMC, Ltd. is seeking a Lean Engineer to drive continuous improvement across its molding operations in Devens, MA. You will lead the implementation of lean tools, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational excellence strategies aligned with senior management goals.
• Lead cross‑functional continuous improvement projects and coordinate implementation of solutions.
• Facilitate Kaizen sessions, Gemba walks, and internal audits to identify waste and variability.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques to streamline key processes.
• Collect, analyze, and present performance data to support decision‑making.
• Drive change management initiatives to embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies in a production environment.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to guide teams at all levels.
