Lead – Last Mile Transport Hub Network

About the role

The Lead – Last Mile Transport Hub Network is responsible for designing, operating and continuously improving a nationwide hub network that supports the electronics supply chain. This senior position drives cost‑efficient, reliable delivery execution, partners with 3PLs, and ensures a superior customer experience at the doorstep.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise the last‑mile hub network across geographies to meet pin‑code coverage, capacity and serviceability requirements.
• Lead end‑to‑end hub operations including receipt, sortation, dispatch, rider routing, exception handling, returns and RTO management.
• Govern 3PL partners and freelance fleets, conduct performance reviews, negotiate contracts and plan capacity against volume forecasts.
• Define standard operating procedures, hub layouts and operating norms; run regular operations reviews with regional and hub leadership.
• Leverage technology, data analytics and route optimisation to monitor real‑time performance and implement data‑driven interventions.
• Drive cost‑to‑serve improvements by managing cost per shipment, cost per kilometre, hub productivity and unit economics.
• Lead customer‑experience initiatives at the doorstep, ensuring delivery slot adherence, proactive communication and secure handling of high‑value electronics.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Category, Customer Service and Technology teams to align last‑mile capabilities with omni‑channel commitments and peak‑volume planning.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing team of regional managers, hub leads and operations specialists.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, regulatory and other legal requirements across the hub network and partner ecosystem.

Required profile

• 13‑18 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation.
• MBA from a top‑tier institute (full‑time).
• Proven experience in electronics, retail, e‑commerce or related industries.
• Based in or willing to work from Navi Mumbai.
• Reporting to the Head of Transportation (Electronics Supply Chain).
