Lead Engineer – Cooling Systems

About the role

The Lead Engineer – Cooling Systems will join the Powertrain team to design, develop and release cooling system components for automotive vehicles. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of commodities such as hoses, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps and valves.

Key responsibilities

• Own cooling system commodities and drive their design and release.
• Conduct benchmarking studies and propose innovative solutions.
• Liaise with engineering, finance, purchasing and suppliers for BOM management.
• Ensure timely S/T/P releases with accurate CAD, cost and quality data.
• Manage commodity release, change management and production BOMs.
• Participate in supplier sourcing and onboarding processes.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in automotive cooling system design.
• Strong understanding of vehicle packaging guidelines and plastic/sheet‑metal design.
• Experience with commodity ownership and cross‑functional coordination.
• Ability to work with PCDS and major gateways.

Required skills

• CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 (2D/3D) modelling.
• VisMockup, 3Dx, RMDV.
• Teamcenter (PLM) and JIRA.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
