Lead Engineer – Air Intake / Exhaust

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to own the end‑to‑end technical delivery of gas‑path components for automotive powertrains. The role covers intake and exhaust systems, turbocharger and EGR interfaces, and after‑treatment packaging, driving concepts from concept through series production.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage system‑level and component requirements, interfaces, and specifications for intake, exhaust, turbocharger and EGR commodities.
• Lead architecture, packaging and vehicle integration activities, ensuring compliance with emissions, thermal, NVH, durability and regulatory targets.
• Conduct design reviews, engineering change management and technical decision‑making across the KO‑to‑SOP lifecycle.
• Plan and execute validation (DVP&R), testing, DFMEA and risk mitigation for gas‑path components.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (NVH, thermal, emissions, calibration, manufacturing, vehicle integration).
• Manage supplier technical development, timelines, issue resolution and support industrialisation and launch readiness.
• Act as primary technical interface with OEM customers on gas‑path topics.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in automotive powertrain engineering, with proven leadership of programs from KO to SOP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to own system definition, design maturity and integration of gas‑path commodities.
