Lead Designer – Plumbing & Fire Fighting (MEP)

About the role

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is seeking a Lead Designer – BIM PHE to join its Gurugram office. The role focuses on advanced BIM design and modeling for Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems on large‑scale projects, primarily in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems using Autodesk Revit, following project requirements and standards.
• Produce fully coordinated construction drawings, layouts and schematics, and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, Level of Development and project‑specific standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes, conduct model reviews, QA/QC checks and support asset data requirements such as COBie.

Required profile

• 10+ years of BIM/Revit modeling experience for MEP systems, specializing in Plumbing and Fire Fighting.
• Bachelor’s (or Diploma) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience on large‑scale projects in the Middle East and knowledge of NFPA, IPC and local codes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP).
• Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Familiarity with ACC/BIM 360 platforms and COBie data implementation.
• Ability to create and maintain Revit families, templates and content libraries.
