Lead Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to design and deliver robust, production‑grade data‑intensive applications that power critical business use cases at scale. You will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with deep data engineering expertise and provide technical leadership across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Translate high‑level business requirements into scalable, reliable data systems.
• Lead architectural decisions, technology stack selection, and enforce engineering standards.
• Design end‑to‑end data pipelines (ingestion, processing, storage, serving) using Spark and Databricks.
• Build event‑driven architectures with Kafka for real‑time processing.
• Develop backend services and APIs that expose data capabilities securely.
• Model data for analytical workloads (dimensional modeling, data vault).
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability.
• Proven experience leading discussions with stakeholders and delivering technical solutions.
• Deep domain expertise in data engineering and software development.
