Lead – Canteen Operations / Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

The Lead – Canteen Operations will oversee the high‑volume food and beverage services at Tata Electronics' manufacturing sites. This role ensures quality, efficiency, and timely delivery of multi‑cuisine meals while upholding the company’s safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of a multi‑cuisine canteen, including planning, preparation, cooking, and service.
• Develop, implement, and monitor food safety and hygiene processes in line with ISO and FSSAI guidelines.
• Analyze customer satisfaction scores, address complaints, and drive service recovery initiatives.
• Lead the Canteen Committee, conduct regular meetings, and define menu standards.
• Supervise and train canteen staff, optimize stock utilization, and reduce food wastage.
• Coordinate with vendors, EHS, projects, utilities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory levels, staff deployment, pest control, and overall operational readiness.
• Conduct risk assessments, promote food‑safety culture, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale food & beverage operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, ISO compliance, and FSSAI regulations.
• Leadership ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse canteen team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for handling customer feedback and operational challenges.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal departments and external vendors.
