Lead Arborist

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Arborist to oversee advanced tree‑care operations, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction on all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform modern arboricultural practices at a high level, including climbing and working aloft in tree canopies of any size.
• Utilize SRS, MRS and traditional climbing methods, and conduct spur‑assisted hazard tree removal.
• Prune trees to ISA standards and operate aerial lifts for pruning and removal with great care.
• Execute technical rigging for large limb and tree removal, install static and dynamic cabling and bracing systems, and conduct aerial rescues when needed.
• Maintain safe work practices, proper PPE use, and clear communication with colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of industry experience and post‑secondary education related to arboriculture.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract; Working at Heights, WHMIS and First Aid certifications.
• ISA Certified Arborist or Ontario Certified Arborist is an asset; additional certifications such as 0‑8 tonne crane competency, Utility Arborist 444B, or IHSA Line Clearing Safety are advantageous.
