Lead Applied Value Engineer

About the role

As a Lead Applied Value Engineer you will work with Celonis' most strategic customers to translate their AI strategies into concrete, high‑impact solutions built on the Celonis Process Intelligence platform. You will prototype, demonstrate and ensure adoption of AI‑enabled process transformations that deliver measurable ROI.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers' AI strategies and business challenges, then design and prototype innovative solutions using generative AI, LLM orchestration and the Celonis PI platform.
• Lead hackathons and proof‑of‑value projects, delivering end‑to‑end architectures, secure scalable LLM/agent systems, and integration with enterprise data and compliance frameworks.
• Drive adoption by staying involved until agreed value and adoption thresholds are met, and specialize in domains such as supply chain or finance to scale knowledge across the organization.

Required profile

• 9+ years of technical pre‑sales experience, including AI roadmap definition, ROI/TCO business cases and prototyping of ML and generative AI solutions.
• Domain experience in Energy, Oil & Gas or Utilities and strong understanding of business processes across sectors.
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• ML libraries and frameworks such as LangChain, pandas, pydantic, scikit‑learn, PyTorch.
• Generative AI techniques: Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, multi‑agent orchestration, few‑shot learning.
• Experience with cloud AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, GCP Vertex) and deploying models at scale.
