About the role

Join Opaa! Food Management as a Kitchen Staff member to support breakfast, lunch, and occasional catering operations across our Midwest locations. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain serving lines, ensuring food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare menu items, including baked goods, batch‑cooked dishes, and daily meal components.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Monitor and record hot and cold food temperatures, complete HACCP and food safety logs.
• Assist with catering functions and support the Kitchen Manager in ordering supplies.
• Serve food portions with appropriate utensils and ensure appealing presentation.

Required profile

• Commitment to food safety regulations (HHFKA, CACFP) and Opaa!’s safety policies.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain accurate production records.
• Willingness to attend required trainings, meetings, and safety incentive programs.
• Reliability in adhering to timekeeping and attendance policies.

Required skills

• Food preparation and batch cooking.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders).
• HACCP compliance and food safety temperature monitoring.
• FIFO inventory management.
• Baking basics (bread, cakes, cookies).
• Serving line setup and food presentation.
