Kitchen Staff – Food Preparation & Service

About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Staff member to prepare breakfast and lunch, support serving lines and occasional catering events. The role involves all kitchen positions, ensuring food is prepared safely and presented attractively.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain serving lines, ensuring food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including baking breads, cakes and cookies.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including kitchen, cafeteria and dishwashing stations.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and requisition supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Record production data, temperatures and complete HACCP and food‑safety logs.
• Serve food portions with appropriate utensils and ensure quality presentation.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Commitment to food‑safety regulations (HHFKA, CACFP) and Opaa!’s core values.
• Willingness to participate in safety programs, meetings and ongoing training.

Required skills

• Food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders).
• Inventory management using FIFO.
