Junior Accountant – GST & Tally Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Ahmedabad. The role focuses on day‑to‑day accounting tasks, GST compliance, income‑tax filing and banking operations, supporting senior staff and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries using Tally or similar software.
• Prepare and update sales, purchase and expense registers.
• File GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and perform GST reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of income‑tax returns.
• Execute banking duties including bank reconciliation statements, cheque deposits and payment follow‑ups.
• Ensure proper documentation and accurate accounting records.
• Support senior accountant during monthly and year‑end closing cycles.
• Liaise with the Chartered Accountant for audits and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of GST, income‑tax processes and banking operations.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• Tally accounting software.
• Microsoft Excel.
