IT System Administrator

About the role

As an IT System Administrator you will design, build, deploy and support critical IT services for a fast‑paced startup. You will apply best‑in‑class security practices, manage cloud and identity platforms, and respond to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cloud services, including identity, communications, and infrastructure accounts and integrations.
• Oversee corporate workstation and mobile device management (MDM) for Macs and ensure workstation security.
• Provide IT service‑desk support: change requests, troubleshooting, onboarding/off‑boarding, equipment management, and break/fix.
• Maintain a strong security posture, incident‑response processes, and support security/compliance initiatives.
• Streamline help‑desk operations by handling a diverse ticket queue from routine access requests to complex system failures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (technical field a plus but not required).
• 5‑10 years of IT administration experience with a focus on security.
• Expert knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite) and macOS; enterprise experience managing Mac fleets with MDM.
• Strong experience with Okta, SAML, AWS, GCP, and security incident prevention, detection, and response.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (bash, Python, or JavaScript) and familiarity with cloud integrations such as Zoom, Slack, Atlassian.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 standards, servers, telephony, networks, and optionally Office 365.
• Flexibility to juggle multiple projects in a startup environment and willingness to be on‑call.
