International Business Analyst – Export Compliance

About the role

Anovia is looking for an International Business Analyst to act as the primary compliance checkpoint for cross‑border transactions. You will ensure every deal meets U.S. export control regulations, OEM shipping agreements, and international sanctions requirements before sales can proceed.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming international deal requests and determine export and shipment eligibility.
• Coordinate with Sales, Vendor Operations, and Purchasing to collect required data (destination, end‑customer, product list, OEM).
• Verify OEM distribution agreements for geographic and licensing restrictions.
• Screen parties and destinations against U.S. and international restricted‑party and sanctions lists.
• Assess Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, cross‑reference CCATS determinations, and capture Country of Origin information.
• Document all findings, maintain audit trails, and escalate true matches or ambiguous hits per procedure.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and research‑driven with strong analytical judgment.
• Comfortable navigating regulatory databases and interpreting OEM contract terms.
• Ability to make timely, well‑documented go/no‑go decisions on time‑sensitive deals.
• Excellent written communication for audit and compliance records.
