Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for a hotel within the IHG portfolio, partnering with the General Manager and department heads to align people strategies with business goals. This role oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, relations, and learning & development to foster a high‑performing, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager and Heads of Department on all people‑related matters.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the hotel’s business objectives.
• Provide HR advice and support to management on employee‑related issues.
• Design programmes that promote a positive, inclusive, high‑performing work environment.
• Monitor manpower productivity, staffing levels and organisational requirements.
• Manage recruitment and selection processes, including interview coordination, reference checks and onboarding documentation.
• Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, institutions and internal talent sources.
• Lead new‑joiner orientation, HR induction and departmental onboarding.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities, recognition programmes and satisfaction surveys.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyse turnover data and develop retention initiatives.
• Identify training needs, coordinate learning programmes and promote continuous development.
