HR Generalist – Full-cycle Recruiting & Operations

About the role

Flexport is seeking an experienced HR Generalist based in Mumbai to own the full employee lifecycle and people programs across India and the Subcontinent. You will act as the local face of the APAC People team, ensuring that rapid growth is supported by robust HR operations, compliance, and employee‑experience initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle recruiting for diverse roles, from sourcing and screening to interview coordination and onboarding.
• Track sourcing data, optimize channel ROI, and partner with hiring managers to attract top talent.
• Drive proactive recruiting initiatives and strengthen Flexport’s employer brand in the region.
• Serve as the APAC People team representative, enhancing employee experience from onboarding through off‑boarding.
• Lead local HR operations including data management, reporting, payroll support, policy development, and process improvement.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data in Workday, conduct audits, and resolve employee tickets.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to automate repetitive HR tasks and accelerate candidate sourcing and screening.
• Ensure HR policy compliance across the region and support global People leadership projects.

Required profile

• A BA/BS degree with 6+ years of experience, including full‑cycle recruiting at a search firm or fast‑growing company.
• Proven track record handling a wide range of HR transactions and deep knowledge of HR best practices in APAC.
• Strong ability to build rapport with hiring managers and cross‑functional partners at all levels.
• Creative talent acquisition approach with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and humility.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Workday (HCM, recruiting, reporting).
• Comfort using AI‑powered recruiting and HR tools.
