Housekeeping Staff – Ensure Clean & Safe Premises

About the role

The Housekeeping Staff member will maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment across Drishti IAS premises in Agra, covering classrooms, offices, corridors, washrooms and common areas. This role ensures that all spaces are ready for students, faculty, employees and visitors, supporting the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of the centre.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitisation and cleaning of assigned areas.
• Ensure classrooms and common areas are clean and prepared before classes, meetings and events.
• Maintain adequate stock and proper usage of housekeeping and cleaning supplies.
• Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damages or shortages to the reporting manager promptly.
• Respond efficiently to housekeeping requests from students, faculty, employees and visitors.
• Follow organisational standards for cleanliness, hygiene, safety and discipline while performing duties.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness or maintenance issues.
• Punctual, disciplined, responsible and service‑oriented attitude.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of proper handling and use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Ability to maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
