About the role
The Housekeeping Manager will lead the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across guest rooms, public areas, laundry and back‑of‑house spaces. This role coordinates closely with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure seamless operations in a hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping activities, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry and back‑of‑house zones.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Prepare duty rosters, schedules and work allocations for housekeeping staff.
- Monitor inventory of linen, supplies and guest amenities, and control departmental costs.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records for attendance, inventory, lost & found and maintenance issues.
- Ensure health, safety and hospitality standards are consistently met.
- Participate in recruitment, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
- 4–8 years of housekeeping experience in hotels or resorts.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment and cleaning procedures.
