Hotel Electrician – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

Join voco™ in Amritsar as a Hotel Electrician, responsible for keeping the property’s electrical systems and guest‑room fixtures in top condition. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Repair or replace electrical items throughout the hotel and refurbish guest‑room fixtures.
• Organise supplies and prepare equipment for daily operations.
• Follow high safety standards, report incidents, dangerous conditions, or faulty equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of interior and exterior areas, including car park and pool.
• Follow the preventative‑maintenance calendar to keep all systems efficient.
• Provide a friendly, helpful presence for guests and assist with extra duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance or repair work.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics and preventative‑maintenance procedures.
• Physical fitness to stand, bend and kneel for most of the shift.
• Compliance with local regulations, appropriate age, and fluency in the local language.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with building‑management or reporting tools such as HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech or Inncom.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.
• Understanding of preventative‑maintenance practices.
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus if the hotel has a pool.
