About the role
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a Westin restaurant, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the dining team by maintaining a clean, organized environment and upholding service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, determine party size, and escort them to appropriate tables.
- Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
- Arrange tables and chairs for groups with special needs and keep the dining area tidy throughout service.
- Monitor menu availability, ensuring menus are current, clean, and wrinkle‑free.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance, answer phones courteously, and support team members to achieve common goals.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior work experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
