Heat Pump Design Engineer – Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a specialist Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of heat‑pump components at Bosch’s Bengaluru centre. The role combines wire‑harness routing, plastic, pipe and sheet‑metal development with market research to deliver innovative, manufacturable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise wire‑harness routing for heat‑pump systems at component, product and system levels, ensuring safety and electrical performance.
• Gather and translate cross‑functional requirements into detailed component specifications.
• Design and develop plastic, pipe and sheet‑metal components for heat‑pump applications, focusing on durability, efficiency and manufacturability.
• Conduct market studies on emerging heat‑pump technologies and competitor offerings to guide design decisions.
• Own the end‑to‑end design process, delivering high‑quality drawings and documentation that meet industry standards and market trends.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality‑assurance teams to ensure compliance with the Bosch Quality Management System.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in mechanical design for thermal or HVAC systems.
