Head Waiter – Luxury Cruise Line

About the role

Join a leading Norwegian luxury cruise company as the Head Waiter, overseeing the dining experience across a fleet of 15 premium ships. You will lead a multicultural team, ensuring world‑class service for guests while enjoying tax‑free earnings and the opportunity to travel globally.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the wait staff across all dining venues, including fine‑dining, à la carte, buffet and wine service.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, handling special requests and resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate with the culinary and hospitality teams to ensure seamless service flow.
• Manage inventory of dining supplies and oversee presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and STCW regulations on board.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Waiter or Senior Waiter on an international cruise line.
• Previous cruise experience highly preferred; candidates without ship experience must hold valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificates.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong leadership and guest‑service orientation.
• Proven experience in fine‑dining, à la carte, buffet and wine service.
