Head of Technology – AV/ICT

About the role

The Head of Technology – AV/ICT leads the technical authority for the organisation’s audio‑visual and ICT portfolio. Reporting to the CTO/Managing Director, this senior leader shapes winning solutions during pre‑sales and ensures flawless delivery across complex enterprise projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical solutioning for enterprise AV and ICT bids, including conference rooms, boardrooms, auditoria, control rooms, command centres, digital signage and unified communications.
• Review and approve system architecture, schematics, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, BOQs and cost estimates before submission.
• Define the technology stack and preferred OEM matrix across AV, ELV and network domains; maintain engineering standards and design templates.
• Provide technical governance across the project portfolio, resolve escalated site issues, and ensure quality commissioning, testing and handover.
• Ensure seamless AV‑IT integration: VLAN design, QoS, multicast, PoE budgeting, bandwidth planning and security hardening.
• Lead and develop design, programming and commissioning teams, handling hiring, competency mapping and certification planning.

Required profile

• 12–18 years of experience in AV systems integration and ICT infrastructure.
• Minimum 4 years leading design and delivery teams on enterprise‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to interpret RFPs, manage technical risk and present solutions to clients and consultants.

Required skills

• AV systems integration (conference rooms, control rooms, digital signage, unified communications).
• ICT infrastructure design (VLAN, QoS, multicast, PoE budgeting, bandwidth planning, security hardening).
• Structured cabling, data‑centre and passive infrastructure.
• ELV systems (CCTV, access control, PA/VA, BMS interfaces).
• Emerging technologies: AV‑over‑IP, cloud‑managed UC platforms, IoT, AI‑assisted meeting systems.
