Hardware Functional Safety (FuSA) Expert for DC Products

About the role

The role involves leading hardware functional safety activities for DC automotive products, developing safety concepts, analyses, and work products in line with ISO 26262.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain hardware safety work products such as FMEDA, FTA and DFA for automotive DC products.
• Create safety plans, safety concepts, hardware and software safety requirements, and conduct safety assessments and audits.
• Perform HARA, system, hardware and software safety concept development.
• Review design artefacts, derive risk and mitigation plans, and coordinate with module developers and external stakeholders.
• Support customer safety discussions and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 13849 where applicable.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in hardware functional safety for automotive applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineering.
• Proven experience with digital, analog and power circuit design and automotive ECU development, preferably in power‑train solutions.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate safety decisions clearly.

Required skills

• FMEDA, FTA and DFA analysis techniques.
• ISO 26262 functional safety standard (certification a plus).
• ISO 13849 machine safety knowledge.
• HARA and safety risk assessment methods.
• Design of automotive control units and power‑train ECUs.
• Strong knowledge of digital, analog and power electronics.
