Hardware Design Engineer – Battery Management Systems

About the role
We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to develop and optimise hardware components for battery management systems, both low‑voltage and high‑voltage, within Bosch’s global software technology division.
Key responsibilities
- Design, calculate, simulate and test DC‑DC converters and analog circuits for battery management systems.
- Create and review PCB layouts, creepage distance matrices, and protection/current‑sensing circuits.
- Perform component selection using Design Acceptance Review (DAR) and define requirements and test specifications.
- Conduct requirement analysis in DOORS and manage PCN/PTN processes.
Required profile
- B.E. in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 6–10 years of experience in hardware design for power electronics.
Required skills
- Analog circuit design and debugging.
- Simulation tools such as MATLAB, Mathcad and LTSpice.
- Hands‑on soldering and PCB layout review.
- Component selection (DAR) and test case development.
- Requirement analysis in DOORS, PCN/PTN handling.
- Design with PMICs, microcontrollers and microprocessors.
