GST Consultant – Corporate Tax Advisory

About the role

ATMS & CO LLP is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join its GST practice in Thane. The GST Consultant will handle compliance, advisory, and litigation assignments for a diverse portfolio of corporate and business clients, ensuring timely and accurate GST filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and perform reconciliations.
• Analyse transactions, calculate input tax credit and provide practical GST advisory.
• Manage GST notices, departmental proceedings, assessments, audits and litigation, including drafting replies and representations.
• Research GST legislation, circulars, notifications and case law; prepare technical notes and client communications.
• Identify tax risks, maintain high‑quality working papers and meet statutory deadlines.
• Contribute to process improvements within the GST practice.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–4 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of GST laws, rules and compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience in GST return review, filing, reconciliations and ITC analysis.
• Exposure to GST advisory, transaction‑related tax analysis and litigation.
• Ability to research and interpret GST legislation, notifications and case law.
