Graduate Engineer Trainee – Learning Programme

About the role

This Graduate Engineer Trainee programme is designed to build foundational knowledge in a chosen engineering discipline while providing exposure to other functional areas. Under the guidance of a mentor, the trainee will shadow entry‑level roles, acquire technical competence and gradually take independent responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and comply with HSE standards, including PTW, TBRA, PHA, TBT and RCA procedures.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings such as P&ID, PFD, isometrics and GA.
• Develop understanding of plant systems like DCS, PIB, instrumentation, power distribution and single‑line diagrams.
• Use IT tools and enterprise systems including SAP, MOC, IM, RCoW and OMPRO.
• Gain project planning and management skills, supervise contractors and coordinate with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Acquire business awareness of refining, petrochemical processes and product management for polymer, rubber and textile sectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 0‑2 years of experience, with at least 60 % academic performance.
• Strong learning attitude, problem‑solving ability and adaptability.
• Commitment to safety, ethics and collaborative work culture.

Required skills

• Reading P&ID, PFD, isometric and GA drawings.
• Familiarity with SAP, MOC, IM, RCoW and OMPRO systems.
• Knowledge of DCS, PIB, instrumentation, power distribution and SLD.
• Understanding of safety procedures: PTW, TBRA, PHA, TBT, RCA.
• Basic awareness of OMS requirements.
