General Manager - Distribution & Logistics Operations

About the role

The General Manager – Distribution & Logistics Operations leads the design, execution and continuous improvement of line‑haul and last‑mile delivery networks. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures timely, cost‑effective fulfillment across all geographies while driving innovation in delivery channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement line‑haul and last‑mile networks in collaboration with the NSO team, adapting plans for peak loads and geographic performance.
• Monitor inter‑DC and hub movements, resolve bottlenecks, and optimise routing, fleet utilisation and turnaround times.
• Ensure on‑time customer deliveries, improve post‑shipment KPIs and introduce alternate delivery methods such as gig or hyper‑local services.
• Manage national transport and delivery vendors, track performance against SLAs, process payments and maintain quarterly No Dues Certificates.
• Develop SOPs and evaluation frameworks for onboarding, scaling and managing logistics partners.
• Conceptualise and roll out new delivery channels (e.g., ship‑from‑store, micro‑hub) in partnership with technology and operations teams, measuring effectiveness and iterating based on feedback.
