Garment Production Assistant

About the role

Polite Society, a luxury everyday wear label, is seeking a full‑time Garment Production Assistant to join its Mumbai team. You will support the end‑to‑end production process, ensuring high‑quality garments are delivered on schedule. You will work closely with designers to translate concepts into production‑ready garments and ensure that all processes meet the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the production process from sample approval to final product delivery.
• Coordinate with the design team and external vendors to align specifications and timelines.
• Manage production schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of garments.
• Conduct quality control checks and uphold quality assurance standards.
• Assist in cutting, sewing, and basic garment construction tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and update relevant software tools.
• Resolve any production issues promptly to keep the workflow on track.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in garment production management or coordination.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, cutting, and sewing techniques.
• Experience in quality control and production planning.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Management or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in luxury fashion is a plus.
