Fulfilment Specialist

About the role

As a Fulfilment Specialist you will purchase goods from internal and external suppliers, ensuring that deliveries meet schedule, price, and quality requirements while adhering to ABB’s purchasing policies. You will also manage urgent situations to guarantee timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Release purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the ERP system, aligning them with customer requirements and authority tables.
• Monitor supplier order acknowledgments, dispatch advice, inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation.
• Track purchase‑order backlog and perform expediting activities with internal feeder factories and external suppliers to meet on‑time delivery commitments.
• Identify root causes of late deliveries, implement recovery plans, and reduce backlog.
• Verify goods receipt at the warehouse, ensure correct invoicing, and maintain a high level of customer service.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical.
• 5‑7 years of experience in the railway or manufacturing industry as a Fulfilment Specialist or Buyer.
• Proven experience with SAP P2P processes.
• Strong knowledge of process and manufacturing engineering is preferred.

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• KPI and dashboard reporting.
• Documentation and SOP creation.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical and presentation abilities.
