Frontend Developer

About the role

LowerPlane is looking for a full‑time Frontend Developer to join its on‑site team in Chennai. You will help build and maintain the user‑facing parts of a SaaS platform that simplifies compliance and security workflows for growing companies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product requirements and UX designs into clean, maintainable code.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers to integrate APIs and ensure cross‑browser/device compatibility.
• Contribute to reusable component libraries and UI patterns.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to improve reliability.

Required profile

• Strong front‑end development experience with a focus on responsive web design.
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, version control, testing, and debugging.
• Ability to work effectively in an on‑site, product‑focused environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React or Vue.
• HTML5 and CSS3.
• JavaScript.

• Performance optimization, accessibility best practices, and cross‑browser compatibility.
