Front Office Guest Service Agent (Hotel)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Guest Service Agent to be the first point of contact for guests at our Grand Mercure Bangalore hotel. The role involves delivering high‑quality front‑office service, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences, and supporting guests throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests on arrival and create a positive first impression.
• Manage check‑in, check‑out, reservations, modifications and cancellations using the hotel management system.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, complaints and special needs promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to guarantee room readiness and fulfill special requests.
• Process cash transactions, maintain accurate financial records and conduct daily folio audits.
• Assist with luggage handling, transportation arrangements and overbooking resolutions.
• Promote hotel promotions, packages and loyalty programmes to enhance revenue.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management software and standard computer applications.
