Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Certa is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to reshape how its AI‑first, no‑code platform is implemented for Fortune 500 customers. You will work directly with clients to understand their third‑party risk, compliance and ESG processes and build live workflows using Certa’s Studio.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery and design sessions with cross‑functional teams, map current processes and define target state metrics such as onboarding cycle time and reviewer effort.
• Configure and automate workflows in Certa Studio, including forms, logic, risk scoring, approvals, integrations and data flows, debugging issues in real time.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery: planning, governance, testing (SIT, UAT), cut‑over, hyper‑care and hand‑over, ensuring on‑time go‑live and success metrics.
• Provide feedback to product by surfacing platform limits, creating reusable templates and accelerators for future deployments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of customer‑facing technical delivery experience (forward‑deployed engineering, solutions architecture or professional services).
• Proven ability to manage go‑live projects, maintain project plans, RAID logs and conduct thorough testing.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with senior stakeholders such as Chief Procurement Officers and privacy counsel.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and data mapping.
• Scripting in Python or JavaScript.
• Production experience with large language models (LLM) – prompts, retrieval, agent workflows and systematic evaluation.
