Software Engineer III

About the role

OpenGov is seeking a Software Engineer III to build best‑in‑class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability for government agencies. You will work in a fast‑paced, agile environment using modern technologies such as ReactJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, and NodeJS.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization to understand and translate business priorities into shipped features delivering customer success.
• Generate clean, efficient, and well‑documented software following industry best practices.
• Independently design and develop high‑quality features that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, ambiguous environment.
• 6–9 years of professional experience in software development.
• BA/BS in computer‑science‑related discipline or equivalent experience.
