Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

About the role

OpenGov is building AI‑driven SaaS solutions that improve efficiency, transparency and accountability for government agencies. As a Senior Software Engineer you will lead the design and delivery of new features in a fast‑paced, agile environment, working with modern web technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization to translate business priorities into shipped features that drive customer success.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure resilient, scalable SaaS applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience developing highly scalable cloud‑native applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Experience building AI‑driven UX, agents and workflow automation (direct ML experience not required).
• Deep experience on Azure or AWS using modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and observability tools such as Grafana.
• Proficiency with event‑driven architecture, API integration and GraphQL.
• Demonstrated ability to work with customers to improve product experiences.
