Food Server – Cafe Staff (Food & Beverage)

About the role

Playbao is seeking energetic, customer‑focused individuals to join its cafe team. As a Food Server you will prepare menu items, serve guests and help drive sales while maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverage items according to recipes, portion guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, counters and dining areas, following food‑safety and hygiene procedures.
• Greet customers, take orders accurately, process them through the POS system and ensure timely service.
• Recommend menu items, upsell combos and communicate promotions to increase average order value.
• Handle basic customer questions, feedback and complaints in a professional manner.
• Assist with stock checks, replenishment, opening and closing duties, and follow cash‑handling procedures.
• Support inventory control and minimise food waste while working closely with the wider team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant or other customer‑facing role is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a friendly, energetic attitude.
• Comfortable interacting with families, children and diverse guests.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and flexible to cover shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Sales‑oriented mindset with the ability to suggest suitable add‑ons and upgrades.
