About the role

The Food & Beverage Service Supervisor ensures that the dining area operates smoothly, delivering high‑quality service to guests while leading a team of front‑of‑house staff. This role combines operational oversight, staff management, and guest interaction to maintain Marriott’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate service staff to guarantee optimal guest experience.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall presentation, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the venue.
• Maintain organized storage areas using FIFO principles and conduct regular inventories.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and ensure timely repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
