Food & Beverage Service Associate (GSA)

About the role

The Food & Beverage Service Associate (GSA) will deliver professional F&B service to guests at Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded. The role involves greeting guests, handling orders, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the hotel’s dining venues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient food and beverage service in line with hotel standards.
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage resources cost‑effectively and educate team members on optimal usage.
• Set up and inspect operating equipment, linen, and condiments before service.
• Clear and reset tables, handle breakage, pilferage, and spoilage minimisation.
• Take guest orders and advise on menu specials when the F&B Team Leader is absent.
• Report equipment malfunctions, emergencies, or security concerns to the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in food & beverage service, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Willingness to work night shifts, extended hours, or flexible schedules as required.
