Flight Physics Engineer – Aerodynamics

About the role

Airbus India is seeking a Flight Physics Engineer to develop and validate aerodynamic methods and tools that support vehicle design and integration. The role focuses on aerodata processing, multidisciplinary integration and delivering high‑performance solutions for Airbus aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business context, design and document aerodynamic solutions, and present them to stakeholders.
• Develop, automate and validate tools for aerodata handling, ensuring compliance with software quality standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies in complex, heterogeneous project environments.
• Perform verification and validation of developed features and tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, fostering integration across flight physics, CFD, and systems engineering.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, creativity and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Methods.
• Behavioural modelling and simulation.
• Geometric modelling, analytical geometry and linear algebra.
• Experience with C/C++, Javascript (nice to have).
• Reduced Order Modelling.
• High‑performance computing, remote desktops and job batching.
• Cloud‑based programming, AI/ML concepts.
• Familiarity with SAFe and Agile ways of working.
