Flash Boot Loader Software Engineer

About the role

As a Flash Boot Loader Software Engineer you will lead the development and implementation of advanced bootloader solutions for automotive ECUs. The position involves working with AUTOSAR‑compliant stacks and ensuring secure, reliable firmware updates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate Flash Bootloaders (FBL) using ETAS RTA‑FBL or similar AUTOSAR‑compliant stacks.
• Implement security features such as Hardware Security Modules, Secure Boot and Secure Flash to protect ECU firmware.
• Develop UDS (ISO 14229) services at the application layer for robust communication over CAN‑FD and Automotive Ethernet.
• Configure and integrate MCAL layers for NXP S32K3xx and Renesas RH850 platforms, handling low‑level drivers for transceivers (TCAN1145) and SPI interfaces.
• Lead technical teams, mentor junior engineers and ensure ASPICE‑compliant delivery.
• Perform system‑level debugging with Multi‑GHS, Lauterbach Trace32 and validate protocols using Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech) in a relevant field.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.

Required skills

• ETAS RTA‑FBL or equivalent AUTOSAR bootloader stack.
• Security integration: HSM, Secure Boot, Secure Flash.
• UDS (ISO 14229) implementation.
• CAN‑FD, Automotive Ethernet communication.
• MCAL configuration for NXP S32K3xx and Renesas RH850.
• SPI and TCAN1145 transceiver drivers.
• Debugging tools: Multi‑GHS, Lauterbach Trace32.
• Validation tools: Vector CANoe, CANalyzer.
