Fireman – Fire & Safety Operations

About the role

The Fireman will provide immediate response to fire and emergency situations across client premises throughout India. The role supports fire prevention, conducts inspections, leads emergency evacuations and ensures compliance with fire safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine fire safety inspections, identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Check and maintain fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, sprinklers, alarms, smoke detectors and emergency lighting.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms, operate firefighting equipment and assist in evacuations.
• Provide first‑aid, support paramedical teams and coordinate with local fire brigades.
• Maintain detailed incident logs, inspection records and ensure compliance with local fire norms and the National Building Code.
• Conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises and train on‑site personnel on fire safety procedures.
• Inspect fire equipment daily, oversee servicing schedules and ensure escape routes remain clear.

Required profile

• Minimum 10th pass with a Diploma or Certificate in Fire Safety or Industrial Firefighting.
• 2‑5 years of experience in industrial, commercial or institutional firefighting (freshers with formal training may be considered).
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Physically fit, able to handle firefighting gear and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Fire detection and suppression systems knowledge.
• Operation of firefighting equipment (extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, foam, breathing apparatus).
