Financial Controller – NAMER

About the role

The Financial Controller – NAMER will support entity‑level controlling activities across North America from our Chennai hub. You will ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, strong balance‑sheet governance, and effective coordination with shared service teams, auditors, and business finance partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and ensure compliance with Group reporting standards.
• Review P&L and balance‑sheet accounts for accuracy, completeness and proper documentation.
• Monitor critical journal entries, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations, escalating unusual balances.
• Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring timely delivery of audit requirements.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies and control frameworks (e.g., RCX).
• Act as the primary liaison with shared service teams (Genpact, GBS) to monitor service quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide backup for critical processes such as banking, reporting coordination and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Identify process gaps, propose improvements and support finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting or audit, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience working with shared service models and multiple ERP systems.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines.
