Financial Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the finance function for a listed consumer‑goods/manufacturing company, ensuring robust financial control, accurate accounting and timely reporting. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role combines oversight of accounting hygiene, MIS analysis and strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Ind AS, SEBI LODR and other statutory requirements.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures, guaranteeing completeness, accuracy and audit‑readiness.
• Maintain strong accounting hygiene through reconciliations, provisions and documentation standards.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, accounting policies and process improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate smooth audit execution and resolve audit points.
• Prepare board and investor presentations and support earnings calls.
• Analyse monthly MIS, support capex planning, ROI analysis and scenario modelling for strategic initiatives.
• Drive cost optimisation, margin improvement and digital finance transformation.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years of finance experience in a listed consumer‑goods or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated career stability.
• Strong understanding of Ind AS, SEBI regulations and corporate governance.
• Proven experience overseeing accounts, controllership and reporting functions.
• Familiarity with SAP systems.
