Financial Controller

About the role

We are a high‑growth defense‑tech startup building next‑generation products for modern battlefields. Reporting directly to the founders and leadership team, you will own the financial backbone of the company, shaping strategy, building systems, and ensuring compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow processes for a fast‑scaling business.
• Partner with founders and senior leaders to align financial decisions with strategic priorities.
• Design, implement, and scale accounting and finance functions from the ground up.
• Oversee statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF/ESI), financial reporting, and audit coordination.
• Maintain and optimize financial software (Zoho Books) and related workflows.
• Translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable information for non‑finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5 years in startups or high‑growth environments.
• Strong ownership mindset, high agency, and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑paced settings.
• Bonus: experience in defense, aerospace, deep‑tech, fund management, investor reporting, or capital raising.
