Financial Controller – Energy, Real Estate & M&A

About the role

We are seeking a senior Financial Controller to lead group‑level finance across our Energy, Real Estate and M&A businesses. The role combines strategic oversight of consolidation, reporting, treasury and deal finance with hands‑on responsibility for compliance with Indian Accounting Standards, RERA and lender covenants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial consolidation, statutory reporting and month‑end/quarter‑end/annual close for all operating entities, SPVs and joint ventures.
• Design, implement and monitor accounting policies, internal financial controls, SOPs and corporate governance frameworks.
• Oversee statutory and internal audits, tax compliance (direct & indirect), FEMA and secretarial filings.
• Manage group treasury, cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimisation and debt‑covenant compliance.
• Drive ERP implementation/upgrades (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and use BI tools to automate reporting.
• Supervise energy project finance – modelling, tariff analysis, PPA accounting, CAPEX/OPEX control for solar, wind and hybrid assets.
• Control real‑estate project costing, budgeting, WIP accounting, inventory valuation and ensure RERA compliance.
• Lead M&A financial due diligence, valuation (DCF, comparables, NAV), transaction structuring and post‑merger integration.
• Act as primary financial liaison to auditors, investors, lenders, rating agencies and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in group financial control, consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Strong background in treasury management, cash‑flow forecasting and debt covenant compliance.
• Proven track record in energy‑sector finance, real‑estate finance and M&A deal execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead ERP implementations and drive process automation.
• Excellent stakeholder management with auditors, investors and regulatory bodies.
