Finance Specialist – Accounting & Billing

About the role

Join Benchmark Gensuite as a Finance Specialist to manage accounting and billing processes for our EHS, Sustainability and ESG software solutions. You will work closely with delivery, sales and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing, compliance and timely cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and manage customer invoicing data.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing as per project or client requirements.
• Update and track purchase orders and statements of work for ongoing projects.
• Handle accounts receivable: follow up on outstanding payments and maintain ageing reports.
• Perform reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with delivery, sales, and finance teams for billing‑related queries.
• Apply GST and TDS during invoicing and reporting.
• Prepare periodic financial and AR reports with proper documentation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, billing, or accounts receivable management.
• B.Com graduate with solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Experience in a software product or IT services environment.
• Strong communication, follow‑up and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software tools.
