Finance Manager – Research Sales & Revenue

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead financial analysis and insight for multiple Elsevier business units that generate over $3 billion in sales and revenue. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage a team of four finance professionals and collaborate closely with Business Decision Support (BDS) teams to drive strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver management reporting and analysis for supported business units, senior leadership, and RELX FP&A.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and monthly sales variance (LV) across regions and key products.
• Participate in quota setting for the sales organization.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, including automation, GenAI tool implementation, and process redesign.
• Own the Oracle sales planning application and ensure its effective use.
• Coordinate reporting and budgeting/forecasting cycles with BDS, meeting FP&A deadlines.

• Effective communication skills for a multinational, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling.
• Experience with Oracle (sales planning application).
