Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the finance and fund operations for a Category 2 and Category 3 Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). Reporting directly to the CFO, the role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial insight for the fund.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee fund and finance operations of a CAT 2 & CAT 3 AIF.
• Maintain fund accounting records and perform NAV calculations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
• Collaborate and liaise with external stakeholders such as fund administrators and valuation experts.
• Review, improve, and enforce financial processes and internal controls.
• Work with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong background in fund operations or AIF operations.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with experience in fund accounting and drawdowns.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of financial regulations and standards.

Required skills

• Fund accounting and NAV calculation.
• Experience with drawdowns and preparation of financial statements.
• Familiarity with financial tools and systems.
